You can start the connection to check whether it is working properly.

Starting OIS Connections

You can either start an OIS connection or a component. If you start a component first, the OIS connection is started automatically, too.

  • The Administration perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Administration tree, click System > External Systems.
  1. Right-click the OIS connection and select Start.
  • If the connection is successful, the icons turn green.

Stopping OIS Connections

  • The Administration perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Administration tree, click System > External Systems.
  1. Right-click the OIS connection and select Stop.
  • The color of the icon changes to grey.
  • The OIS connection stops.

Switching Off Subsystems

You can either switch off a single component or a group of components.

  • The Engineering perspective is displayed.
  1. To switch off a component, proceed as follows:
  • In the System Tree, expand the Subsystem Container node and right-click the component.
  • Select Switch off. You can switch off several components by using multi-selection.
  1. To switch off all components within the subsystem container node, proceed as follows:
  • In the System Tree, right-click the Subsystem Container node and select Switch off all.
  • The color of the icon changes to grey.
  • The components are deactivated.

Switching On Subsystems

You can either switch on a single component or a group of components.

  • The Engineering perspective is displayed.
  1. To switch on a component, proceed as follows:
  • In the System Tree, expand the Subsystem Container node and right-click the component.
  • Select Switch on. You can switch on several components by using multi-selection.
  1. To switch on all components within the subsystem container node, proceed as follows:
  • In the System Tree, right-click the Subsystem Container node and select Switch on all. For information on how to create subsystem containers refer to: Creating Subsystem Containers.
  • If the connection is successful, the icons turn green.
  • The incoming messages are displayed in the Message List view.
