In case of an incident, the collective detector technology does not differentiate between the individual detectors. Thus, only the detector zone of the collective detector line is imported in Siveillance Control but not the individual detectors. In order to see the corresponding detectors in the graphic, they need to be manually added to the graphic.

For this purpose, a manual configuration for every collective detector line is required. The individual collective detectors can be created in the collective detector line. Issuing commands is only possible for the collective detector line but not for the collective detector.

In case of an incident, a message is generated in the Message List view for the configured collective detector line. The corresponding collective detectors are displayed as submessages.

To use collective detector lines in Siveillance Control, proceed as follows:

Creating Collective Detector Lines

  • The Engineering perspective is displayed.
  • The collective detector group is imported.
  1. In the System Tree, right-click an object or area, which contains the respective detector zone of the collective detector line, and select New > Collective Detector Line.
  1. Enter the following information:
  • Instance Name: Enter a name (for example 223 01). You can edit the instance name in the Object Properties view.
  • External ID: Enter the external ID from the subsystem, with which the collective detector line can be identified (for example 11*223 01). You can edit the external ID in the Object Properties view.
  • Number of Instances: To create more than one collective detector line, enter the appropriate number.
  • Comment: Enter a comment if necessary.
  • Discipline: Select a discipline (for example fire).
  1. Click Next.
  1. To display the first object with a number, mark the Number on First Object check box. Otherwise, it will not be numbered.
  1. To enter your own name pattern, change the default name in the Multiple Name Pattern field.
  1. Click Finish.

Creating Collective Detectors

  • The Engineering perspective is displayed.
  1. In the System Tree, right-click the newly created collective detector line and select New > Collective Detector.
  1. Enter the following information:
  • Instance Name: Enter a name (for example 223 01). You can edit the instance name in the Object Properties view.
  • External ID: Since the subsystem does not provide the respective external ID, enter a unique name, which identifies the collective detector as belonging to the collective detector line (for example 11*223-01). In the Object Properties view, you can also select false in the Physical Element field. This saves you the effort of entering an external ID and an external source.
  • Number of Instances: To create more than one collective detector, enter the appropriate number.
  • Comment: Enter a comment if necessary.
  • Discipline: Select a discipline (for example fire).
