The following reasons are possible for VMS disconnection:

  • There is a temporary network disconnecton in VMS.
  • There is a downtime for VMS Server.

If the VMS connection is interrupted, Siveillance Control tries to restore the connection automatically for every 60 seconds, until the VMS connection is established.

To establish a connection with VMS manually, perform the following steps:

  1. In the System Tree, right-click the VMS connection and select Disconnect.
  1. Wait until the previous automatic re-connection attempt stops or until the Connect option gets enabled.
  1. Right-click the VMS connection and select Connect.
