Calendars are used for exceptions. For example, if a security zone needs to be armed on a weekday, because a holiday falls on that weekday, you can define a calendar containing all holidays. When you later define a scheduled event for the purpose of disarming the security zone, you can specify this calendar as exception period.

Displaying Calendars

  • The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Administration tree, click System > Calendar Definitions.
  • All calendars appear.
  1. To display a calendar entry in the Calendar Entries view, double-click a calendar.

Creating Calendars

  • The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Administration tree, right-click System > Calendar Definitions and select New > Calendar.
  1. Enter a name.
  1. Click Finish.

Nesting Calendars

Keep in mind that you cannot move a higher-level calendar to one of its lower-level calendars.

  • You have the following options to nest a calendar:
  • Drag an existing calendar to another calendar.
  • Create a new calendar below an existing calendar.

Editing Calendars

You can edit the name of a calendar.

  • The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Administration tree, select the calendar you want to edit.
  1. In the Object Properties view, click the value in the Instance Name field.
  1. Enter your change.
  1. Press Enter.

Deleting Calendars

  • The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Administration tree, right-click the calendar you want to delete and select Delete Object(s) from Database.
  1. Click Yes.
