You can create scheduled events for regularly recurring processes. You can also define exceptions to the rule, for example if a monitoring zone is to be disarmed every workday at 6 a.m. but not during holidays.
Creating Scheduled Events
You can create scheduled events for recurring processes.
- The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
- An appropriate operation procedure step for the event location has been defined.
- Select System > Scheduled Events.
- Right-click scheduled events and select New > Scheduled Event.
- Enter a name.
- Click Finish.
- Click the scheduled event to open it in the Scheduled Event.
- To schedule a single occurrence, complete the following steps:
- Click and select a start date.
- Select a time.
- To schedule multiple occurrences, complete the following steps:
- Mark Every and select the weekdays on which the scheduled event is to be performed.
- In the Start field, click and select a start date.
- Select a time.
- In the End field, click and select an end date.
- To define an exception, complete the following steps:
- Click Add in the Except for the following periods field.
- Select a calendar.
- To add another calendar, repeat the previous two steps.
- Click Finish.
- Define the event details. You have the following options:
- Select an event location
- Select a keyword.
- Select a subkeyword.
- Select an escalation level.
- Enter a comment.
- Select an OPS. The OPS defined for the keyword are displayed automatically.
- To deactivate a scheduled event temporarily, keep the default settings in the Suspend (don’t start automatically) check box. Otherwise, unmark the check box.
- Click Save.
Editing Scheduled Events
You can make the following changes to a scheduled event:
Editing Names of Scheduled Events
- The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
- Under System > Scheduled Events, select the scheduled event you want to edit.
- In the Object Properties view, click the Instance Name value.
- Enter your change.
- Press Enter.
Editing Event Details of Scheduled Events
- The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
- Under System > Scheduled Events, select the scheduled event you want to edit.
- In the Object Properties view, select the value you want to edit under Miscellaneous.
- Select your change.
- Click Finish.
Making Arbitrary Changes to Scheduled Events
- The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
- The event is displayed in the Scheduled Events view.
- Enter your changes as if you were creating a new scheduled event.
- Click Finish.
Deleting Scheduled Events
- The Scheduled Events perspective is displayed.
- Under System > Scheduled Events, right-click the scheduled event you want to delete and select Delete Object(s) from Database.
- Click Yes.
