You can use bookmarks to quickly open frequently used information or functions. The bookmarks can be found in the toolbar. You can define different bookmarks for the engineering client and the runtime client.

Managing Bookmark Groups

The commissioning engineer or data administrator are responsible for structuring the bookmarks.

 

Creating New Bookmark Groups

  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, right-click a node and select New > Group of Bookmarks.
  1. Enter a name.
  1. Click Finish.

 

Deleting Bookmark Groups

  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. Make sure that the bookmark group does not contain bookmarks you do not want to delete.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, right-click the bookmarks you want to delete and select Delete Object(s).
  1. Click Yes.

Creating Bookmarks

  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, right-click a bookmarks group and select New > Bookmark.
  1. Enter a name.
  1. Click Finish.

Performing Bookmarks

  1. In the toolbar, click Bookmarks.
  1. In the drop-down list, select a bookmark.

 

Deleting Bookmarks

  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, right-click a bookmark you want to delete and select Delete Object(s).
  1. Click Yes.

Saving Table Filters of the Message List View as Bookmark

Table filters of the Message List view can be saved as bookmarks to ensure a quick access.

  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, right-click a bookmarks group and select New > Bookmark.
  1. Enter a name.
  1. Click Finish.
  1. Open the Events/Messages perspective to assign the actual function.
  1. In the Messages (Filter) tree, double-click the Alarm filter.
  1. Click the  Open View Menu.
  1. Select Bookmarks > Use Table Filter Settings in Bookmark.
  1. In the Bookmark field, select the bookmark from the list.
  1. Keep the other settings, since they are copied from the table filter:
  • On Window/On Perspective/Table View: If the bookmark is opened using a table filter from a different perspective, the system automatically switches to the Events/Messages perspective.
  • Append Settings: Filters can comprise a number of subfilters.
  • Filtering Settings: The filter settings of the previously activated filter are applied to the list. Click a filter to display the saved property and value.
  1. Click Finish.

 

Editing Bookmarks for Table Filters

  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, select the table filter bookmark you want to change.
  1. In the Bookmark Annotations view, right-click the Table Sorting Annotation and select Edit.

 

Opening Table Filters

  1. In the toolbar, click Bookmarks.
  1. In the drop-down list, select a bookmark.

Managing HTML Bookmarks

As default, bookmarked websites are displayed in the Windows system's browser. For display of websites in a browser view inside the Siveillance Control client a license is required. For more information refer to: License Import.

Creating HTML Bookmarks

  • The license for internal display of websites is available. For more information refer to: License Overview.
  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, right-click a bookmarks group and select Create Bookmark.
  1. Enter the following information:
  • Type: Select HTML Bookmark Annotation from the drop-down list to specify the specific content of a bookmark.
  • Name: Enter a name.
  • URL: Enter the required internet or intranet address.
  • In ext. Browser: Mark the checkbox to open the URL in an external browser window. Leave the check box unmarked, to open the URL in an internal browser view.
  1. Click Finish.

Editing HTML Links

  • The Bookmarks perspective is displayed.
  1. In the Bookmarks tree, select a HTML bookmark.
  1. In the Bookmark Annotations view, select the HTML bookmark annotation.
  1. In the Object Properties, select the Object Information > URL.
  1. Enter your changes.
  1. Press Enter.
