You can configure the mandatory comment annotation, so that an operator must enter a comment while performing a command. With this mandatory comment annotation, for example, if an operator disarms a door, then the operator is prompted to enter a reason or comment for disarming the door. Later, this comment helps the operator to know the exact reason for performing the command. For mandatory comments a license is required. For more information, refer to: License Import.
Creating Mandatory Comment Annotation
- The OPS/Workflow Configuration perspective is displayed.
- The license for mandatory comments is available. For more information refer to: License Overview.
- In the Location Tree, right-click a node and select Create Annotation > Create Mandatory Comment Annotation.
- Enter a comment.
- In the Command drop-down list, select a command.
- Enter a Length for the mandatory comment field.
- Click Finish.
Editing Mandatory Comment Annotations
- The OPS/Workflow Configuration perspective is displayed.
- In the Mandatory Comment view, you have the following options to edit the annotation:
- Right-click the annotation and select Edit Mandatory Comment Annotation.
- Double-click the annotation.
- Enter your changes.
- Click Finish.
Deleting Mandatory Comment Annotations
- The OPS/Workflow Configuration perspective is displayed.
- In the Mandatory Comment view, right-click the annotation you want to delete and select Delete Object(s) from Database.
- Click Yes.
