You can add one or more access or escape routes to each area.
Adding Routes
Routes are inherited by subordinate areas. This reduces the configuration effort. You can create composite access route plans by only drawing the routes to a higher level node in the Location Tree in order to make it available for lower-level nodes, too.
- The Access Route Plans perspective is displayed.
- A graphic has been calibrated.
- You have the following options:
- In the Location Tree, right-click an area.
- If an outline is defined, right-click it in the graphic.
- Select Add Access Path or Add Escape Path.
- Move the cursor to the Graphics view.
- Define the starting point for the access route by clicking a point in the graphic.
- Click other corner points you want to add to the route.
- To draw lines with predefined angle distances of 45° or 90°, click the following symbol:
- To cancel the drawing, press Esc.
- Double-click the end point of the route.
- The route is highlighted in green for access routes and blue for escape routes.
- To only display the routes for areas selected in the Location Tree, refer to: Configuring Overlays.
Editing Routes
- The Access Route Plans perspective is displayed.
- In the Graphics view, right-click a route you want to edit and select Change Path.
- Move the cursor to one of the blue corner points.
- Move the corner point by using drag & drop.
- Double-click in the Graphics view.
Displaying Routes
- The Annotations perspective is displayed.
- Open the Location Tree.
- Click an area in the Location Tree.
- In the Paths view, all access and escape routes belonging to an area are displayed. Several (sub-)access and escape routes can exist as a result of inheritance of higher-level areas.
Deleting Routes
- The Access Route Plans perspective is displayed.
- In the Graphics view, right-click a route you want to delete and select Delete.
- Click Yes.
