You can adapt the graphics display by changing the display of layers or the zoom factor.
Updating Graphic Layers
In general, graphic layers are identified automatically. However, it can happen that this function has to be performed manually.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- A graphic is displayed.
- Right-click a graphics element in either the Graphics Tree or a graphic.
- Select Find all Layers.
Activating and Deactivating Layers
You can activate and deactivate each layer with a check box.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- A graphic is displayed.
- The Layer view is displayed.
- To activate a layer, click a check box without a check mark.
- The contents of the layer appear in the graphic.
- To deactivate a layer, click a check box with a check mark.
- The contents of the layer disappear from the graphic.
Managing Layer Settings
You can save and load the layers with which you want a graphic to be displayed.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- A graphic is displayed.
- Select the layers you want to be displayed with the graphic.
- Right-click in the Layers view and select Set selected layers as default.
- To load the default layers, right-click in the Layers view and select Load default layers.
Adjusting the Zoom Factor of Objects
The visibility of detectors and objects can be controlled in accordance with zoom levels. You can display details by zooming in and remove details by zooming out.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- A graphic is displayed.
- To automatically perform the calculation of all zoom factors for detector and object data refer to: Managing Virtual Group Detectors.
- To adjust the zoom factor for several objects manually, complete the following steps:
- In the Location Tree, select several objects.
- Right-click the objects and select Objects > Set Zoom Factor(s).
- To set the zoom factor for lower-level objects, keep the recursion depth -1.
- To adjust the zoom factor for individual objects manually, complete the following steps:
- Double-click the object in the Location Tree.
- In the Style view, select the Positioning attributes tab.
- Edit the style attributes and click Save Style attributes.
Adjusting the Zoom Factor of Graphic Layers
The visibility within a graphic can only be controlled when the graphic contains different graphic layers. These layers are transferred with the graphics import, if the graphic which is imported contains objects on different layers.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- A graphic is displayed.
- Zoom in the graphic so that the required section or level of detail is displayed. This zoom level functions as changeover time.
- In the Layer view, right-click a graphic layer under the Graphic node. You have the following options:
- To zoom in and display the layer from the zoom factor currently used, select Set min zoom factor.
- To zoom out and hide the layer from the zoom factor currently used, select Set max zoom factor.
Resetting Zoom Factors
Resetting is necessary in cases where layers are not displayed or hidden when zooming.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- A graphic is displayed.
- In the Object Properties view, select the Layer value.
- Select the graphic layer whose visibility you want to edit or reset.
- Open the Misc node.
- Use the following default values:
- Max. zoom factor: 10.0
- Min. zoom factor: 0.1
- Click Enter.
Displaying the Current Level of an Object
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- You have the following options:
- In the Style view, you can display the Level in the Position/Zoom tab.
- In the graphic, right-click an object and select Select level.
Defining the Sequence of Overlapping Symbols
If several objects are located closely together in a room, it can happen that the symbols overlap. You can define the sequence in which the symbols are displayed in the configuration. The sequence depends on the value of the Level attribute. The symbol with the lowest value for a level is displayed at the bottom.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- In the Graphic view, right-click one or more detectors.
- To manually enter a number for the layer, complete the following steps:
- Select Select level.
- To position the symbol further down, enter a smaller number than for the symbol you want to display higher in the Level field.
- To position the symbol further up, enter a larger number.
- Click Finish.
- To only bring symbols one level forward, select One level forward.
- To only bring symbols one level backward, select One level backward.
