You have to perform some configurations on the imported data points as well as the OIS component. Bevor you proceed with data points configuration, make sure the Siveillance Control configuration is complete. Therefore, check if open tasks exist in the Task tab of the Engineering perspective.
Setting Disciplines
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- The defaultDisciplines.mox file is imported.
- The data points XML file has been imported.
- In the System Tree, right-click the OIS component and select Objects > Set Discipline.
- Select a discipline in the Set This Discipline field.
- Click Finish.
- The discipline is assigned to the data points.
Assigning OIS Components to the OIS Connection
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- The data points XML file has been imported.
- In the System Tree, right-click the component and select Objects > Set External Source.
- Select OIS Connection next to the To Objects of This Type drop-down list.
- Click Finish.
Setting an External ID for OIS Components
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- In the System Tree, right-click the component and select Edit Object Properties.
- In the Object Properties view, enter a name in the External ID field.
- Start the connection. For more information refer to: Starting and Stopping Connection to Subsystems.
Creating Subsystem Containers
You can group several subsystems by using containers.
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- In the System Tree, right-click an area and select New > Subsystem Container.
- Enter the following information:
- Instance Name: Enter a name of the container.
- External ID: Enter the external ID.
- Number of Instances: Enter the number for the container to be created.
- Comment: Enter a comment to provide additional information on the container.
- Click Next.
- To display the first object with a number, mark the Number on First Object check box. Otherwise, it will not be numbered.
- To enter your own name pattern, change the default name in the Multiple Name Pattern field.
- Click Finish.
Synchronizing Data Points in OIS Component
To synchronize the data points of a specific OIS component in Siveillance Control, perform the following steps:
- The Engineering perspective is displayed.
- The external source is set for the required OIS component and the required OIS component is switched on.
- In the System Tree, right-click the OIS component and select Synchronize.
- The new or updated data points of the selected OIS component are synchronized from OIS to Siveillance Control.
- If the OIS component has been imported by data points file previously, a new component with a different value for external source is created.
- If there is a second OIS component created, you need to correlate the new OIS component with the existing one.
