You can edit and delete authorization rules. Since configurations can be made while other users are still logged in, you have to ensure that they are not made without consultation and that at least one workstation always remains to process incoming messages.

Editing User Group Authorization Rules

  • The User and Authorization Management perspective is displayed.
  • At least one workstation remains logged in.
  1. In the Permissionable Objects tree, select a user group.
  1. In the Authorization rules view, right-click the rule you want to change and select Edit Single Permission Rule or Edit Keyword Permission Rule. Which option is available depends on the rule type assigned to this specific user group beforehand.
  1. Enter your changes.
  1. Click Finish.
  • The users of the user group, whose rights are changed, receive a notice window for confirmation. They then have to restart Siveillance Control.

Editing Single Object Permission Rules

  • The User and Authorization Management perspective is displayed.
  • At least one workstation remains logged in.
  1. In the Permissionable Objects tree, select a workstation.
  1. In the Authorization rules view, right-click the rule you want to change and select Edit originating MO permission rule.
  1. Enter your changes.
  1. Click Finish.

Deleting Authorization Rules

  • The User and Authorization Management perspective is displayed.
  • At least one workstation remains logged in.
  1. In the Authorization rules tree, right-click the rule and select Delete Object(s) from Database.
  1. Click Yes.
