The OIS SPC interface interacts with the SPC controller using the FlexC and FleXML protocol. Perform the following steps to establish connection between the SPC controller and OIS:
- Logon to SPC controller
- Create an SPC user to be used exclusively to connect OIS.
- Configure an event profile for OIS Connection in SPC controller
- Configure a command profile for Siveillance Control in SPC controller
- Configure the FlexC – Alarm Transmission System (ATS) in SPC controller
To establish connections between multiple SPC controllers and OIS, perform the steps above for each SPC controller. For each SPC controller use a unique port number for OIS while configuring FlexC – Alarm Transmission System (ATS) in SPC controller.
Logging On to SPC Controller
- In a browser enter the IP address and port number of the SPC controller. For example: 192.168.2.10:443
- Log in with user Engineer.
- Activate the Full Engineer mode.
Creating an SPC User for OIS Connection
Create an SPC user, that is used exclusively by OIS for connecting to SPC. If the SPC user for OIS connection is used by another person, connection to OIS is interrupted.
- The SPC website is displayed, and you are logged in as user Engineer with Full Engineer mode.
- In the left navigation, choose User.
- Click Add User.
- In User Name field, enter a username, for example "OIS user".
- In User PIN field, enter a PIN or click Generate PIN.
- For User Profile select option Manager.
- Click Save.
Configuring Event Profiles in SPC Controller
You can configure event profiles in the SPC controller. The event profile defines all events, that trigger a message that is received in Siveillance Control. You can reduce number of messages by excluding events, so that the operator can focus on the most important messages.
When excluding events from triggering messages in an event profile, make sure that all relevant events are still received, to fulfill the security rules at the customer site.
- The SPC website is displayed, and you are logged in as user Engineer with Full Engineer mode.
- In the left navigation, choose Communications
- Select the FlexC tab and open the Event Profiles tab.
- Click Add to create a new event profile.
- Enter the event profile name.
- Mark the Report Event check box for all relevant events. The selected events will be reported in the subsystem.
- Click Save.
Configuring Command Profiles in SPC Controller
You can configure commands in the SPC controller. With the command profile that is used for the OIS connection, you decide which commands can be used from Siveillance Control.
- The SPC website is displayed, and you are logged in as user Engineer with Full Engineer mode.
- In the left navigation, choose Communications
- Select the FlexC tab and open the Command Profile tab.
- Click Add.
- Enter the command profile name.
- Mark the Command Enable check box to enable required commands in Siveillance Control.
- Click Save.
Configuring FlexC - Alarm Transmission System (ATS) in SPC Controller
FlexC is a protocol designed for securely managing and exchanging data for the purpose of alarm transmission, control, monitoring, and configuration of SPC panels.
- The SPC website is displayed, and you are logged in as user Engineer with Full Engineer mode.
- In the left navigation, select Communications.
- Select the FlexC tab.
- Click on Add Custom ATS.
- Enter the following information:
- ATS Name: Enter the ATS name.
- Event Profile: Select the event profile, that you have created for OIS connection.
- Command Profile: Select the command profile that you have created for Siveillance Control.
- Click Save.
- Click Add ATP to FlexC RCT.
- Enter the following information:
- ATP Name: Enter a name.
- RCT ID: Enter a number.
- RCT URL or IP Address: Enter IP address of OIS.
- RCT TCP Port: Enter the port number of OIS. If more than one SPC controller is created, enter a unique port number for each SPC controller. Note the port number for later use in SPC configuration in OIS.
- Communications interface: Select Ethernet.
- ATP Category: Select Cat 5 (Ethernet).
- Click Save.
- Click Advanced ATP Settings.
- Enter the following information:
