The BACnet-Handler is explicitly focused on intrinsic reporting and not on COV reporting. The network connection to the BACnet server is monitored periodically by the OIS server.

The services available in BACnet are divided into functional groups using BIBBS. For each of these groups two descriptions are created: one from a BACnet client's (A) point of view and one from a BACnet server's (B) point of view.
