The supervision time (in seconds) determines the delay after which a line failure is reported. The recommended value is 30. Short monitoring times increase the base load in the network.

  • COM1 corresponds to /dev/ttyS0 and so on
  • COM2 corresponds to /dev/ttyS1

Depending on the driver and hardware installed, deviations may occur.

Virtual Pearl interface card of an extension module:

  • /dev/ttyPS1 and so on

MOXA:

  • /dev/ttyr00
  • /dev/ttyr01

If a Pearl interface card is used, proceed as follows to install the driver:
