In Configuration > Connections, you can upload access privileges and cardholder data from the access control system to Security Manager. You can also export and import data such privileges, identities, etc. The features which can be imported and exported depend on the type of access control system used. To do this, you need to set up the connection to the access control system.

To connect the access control system and Security Manager, under PACS Agent you need to download the configuration file which will be automatically installed on Security Manager. Also the Sync Agent needs to be installed on the access control system. After installing these files the connection will be established and system can synchronize the data between access control system and Security Manager.

You can set up a connection to one or several access control systems. The connection settings are saved and need to be adjusted only in case of changes. When the connection is set up for the first time, meaningful default values are suggested, depending on the type of access control system used.

General properties

Under General properties you see the overview of the properties of the access control system.

The ID is created automatically and cannot be changed.

You can change the Name and the Description of the access system.

Under Features you can mark the available import and export functions.

PACS Agent

You can download the configuration file.

The configuration file is automatically installed for Security Manager.

Connection Status

You can check the status of the connection to the access control system server.

Synchronization

If Sync Agent is installed on the access control system, you can start the synchronization manually by clicking Upload now. Access privileges and cardholder data are uploaded from the access control system to Security Manager.

You can mark Select to enable automatic upload. Every time a change is saved, data is uploaded automatically.
