Updating names (Credential Profile and Workgroup)

This section is applicable to the existing users who are using the older versions of SiPass integrated Sync Agent.

In the older versions of SiPass integrated Sync Agent, the names of workgroup and credential profiles are given as follows:

SecurityManagerWorkgroup for workgroup.
SecurityManagerCredentialProfile for physical credential.
SecurityManagerVCProfile for virtual credential.

However, in the newer versions of the SiPass integrated Sync Agent, the names of workgroup and credential profiles change to:

None for workgroup.
Base for physical credential.
SecurityManagerVCProfile for virtual credential.

Credential Profile

Follow the below steps to update the names of credential profiles:

Select SiPass integrated Operation Client > Cardholder & Access Management > Credential Profile.

The Cardholder’s Credential Profile application is opened.

Click Add to create the credential profiles with new names Base for physical credential and SecurityManagerVCProfile for virtual credential with other existing details.

Click OK.

The credential profile with the new name is created.

Open the Cardholder application, click search and select the cardholder.

In the Credentials, click the name of cardholder’s credential profile to view a drop-down list.

Select the required Credential Profile Base for physical credential or SecurityManagerVCProfile for virtual credential from the drop-down list.

Click Save.

The existing credential profile is updated with new credential profile of cardholder.

As the workgroup None, credential profiles Base for physical credential and SecurityManagerVCProfile for virtual credential are used in the SiPass integrated Operation Client. So, recommended to delete the old workgroup SecurityManagerWorkgroup, credential profile SecurityManagerCredentialProfile from SiPass integrated Operation Client that are not in use.

Hence, use the workgroup None, credential profiles Base for physical credential and SecurityManagerVCProfile for virtual credential for all existing cardholders before installing the new version of SiPass integrated Sync Agent.
