Identity type serves as a template that manages the fields to be displayed for an identity in Identities. The fields can be customized, and different identity types can be defined according to customer requirements. In such cases, please contact helpdesk for more information.
- A configured identity type can be used for creating a new identity. Once an identity is created with an identity type, it cannot be changed. Therefore, it is recommended to finalize the identity type during the initial configuration.
- If the merge ID is not available in PACS, the identity cannot synchronize to Security Manager. In Security Manager, you must provide the merge ID to save the identity.
Ensure that the connection setting of Sync Agent 2.x is consistent with the identity type and its corresponding merge ID as specified in the table below. For more information on connections, see: Sync Agents 2.x.
The following identity types use the corresponding merge ID:
Identity type | Merge ID |
---|---|
UIM | |
UIM-SCD | GID |
SCIM-Extended |
