You can add OPSs (Operation Procedure Step) to an SOP by dragging one of the available OPSs on the top bar of SOPs to an SOP below it.

OPS defines the actions, decisions, and information required to execute a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) effectively. Each OPS represents a specific step that guides operators through alarm and task management.

  1. Drag the required OPS to a position in an SOP and release the mouse button.
  1. Enter the required data in the dialog and select Apply.

Adding a Decision

OPSs of type Decision allow to branch the SOP. In most cases a decision can be made by answering a question. In case of an SOP for a fire alarm for example: "Are there injured persons?" Depending on the answers "Yes" or "No" there can be different next OPSs added, to guide the Security Operator how to proceed.

  • Configuration > SOPs is displayed.
  • An OPS of type Decision is positioned in the SOP of a classification.
  1. In the Configure My [Type of OPS] dialog, enter the following data:
  • The Name field is pre-filled with My Decision. You can enter a question.
  • The Position field is pre-filled with a value, that corresponds to the position, where you dropped the OPS. You can change the number, if required.
  • Depending on the SOP, at which you dropped the OPS, the classification is listed. You can add more classifications or tags if you want to add the decision in several SOPs. NOTICE! Keep in mind, that the positioning will be the same for all SOPs of classifications, that you add here.
  • The Type field is pre-filled with Decision. NOTICE! If you change the type, another OPS type will be added. The dialog will adapt to the selected type.
  • Enter at least two options that can be chosen as answer to the question in the Name field.
  • For every option enter a unique tag. NOTICE! Use tag names that reflect the purpose. The tag can be chosen to add another OPS that depends on the decision (chosen option).
  • Select Add. NOTICE! You cannot edit an option. You can delete an option and add another one.
  • If the decision is mandatory, activate Mandatory OPS check box.
  1. Select Apply.
  • The Decision is displayed in the SOP.
  1. Open the Decision.
  • The options are displayed.
  1. Add required OPSs to the options.

Adding an Information

OPSs of type Information allow to add additional important information for the kind of classification.

  • Configuration > SOPs is displayed.
  • An OPS of type Information is positioned in a SOP of a classification.
  1. In the Configure My [Type of OPS] dialog, enter the following data:
  • The Name field is pre-filled with My Information. You can enter a heading for the information.
  • The Position field is pre-filled with a value, that corresponds to the position, where you dropped the OPS. You can change the number, if required.
  • Depending on the SOP, at which you dropped the OPS, the classification is listed. You can add more classifications or tags if you want to add the information in several SOPs. NOTICE! Keep in mind, that the positioning will be the same for all SOPs of classifications, that you add here.
  • The Type field is pre-filled with Information. NOTICE! If you change the type, another OPS type will be added. The dialog will adapt to the selected type.
  • Enter the information text.
  1. Select Apply.
  • The Information is displayed in the SOP.

Adding a Remark

OPSs of type Remark allow the Security Operator to add further information to the incident.

  • Configuration > SOPs is displayed.
  • An OPS of type Remark is positioned in an SOP of a classification.
  1. In the Configure My [Type of OPS] dialog, enter the following data:
  • The Name field is pre-filled with My Remark. You can enter a heading for the remark.
  • The Position field is pre-filled with a value, that corresponds to the position, where you dropped the OPS. You can change the number, if required.
  • Depending on the SOP, at which you dropped the OPS, the classification is listed. You can add more classifications or tags, if you want to add the remark in several SOPs. NOTICE! Keep in mind, that the positioning will be the same for all SOPs of classifications, that you add here.
  • The Type field is pre-filled with Remark. NOTICE! If you change the type, another OPS type will be added. The dialog will adapt to the selected type.
  • If the remark is mandatory, activate Mandatory OPS check box.
  1. Select Apply.
  • The Remark is displayed in the SOP.

Adding a User Task

OPSs of type User Task allow to guide the Security Operator through his tasks when he handles an incident.

  • Configuration > SOPs is displayed.
  • An OPS of type User Task is positioned in an SOP of a classification.
  1. In the Configure My [Type of OPS] dialog, enter the following data:
  • The Name field is pre-filled with My UserTask. You can enter a short description of the task.
  • The Position field is pre-filled with a value, that corresponds to the position, where you dropped the OPS. You can change the number, if required.
  • Depending on the SOP, at which you dropped the OPS, the classification is listed. You can add more classifications or tags if you want to add the user task in several SOPs. NOTICE! Keep in mind, that the positioning will be the same for all SOPs of classifications, that you add here.
  • The Type field is pre-filled with Usertask. NOTICE! If you change the type, another OPS type will be added. The dialog will adapt to the selected type.
  • If the user task is mandatory, activate Mandatory OPS check box.
  1. Select Apply.
  • The User Task is displayed in the SOP.
