The Security ID is a unique ID which is generated for the identities based on the configuration given below. The Security ID is numbered consecutively. The Security ID can be used, for example, to export or import the identities.
Activating security ID
- In vertical navigation, open Configuration > System settings.
- Under Settings, select Security ID and click Edit.
- To configure the security ID, activate the Enable security ID checkbox.
- In Number of characters, enter a number to specify the security ID length.
- Select security ID format from the Format drop-down list.
- Select alphanumeric to configure the security ID using both alphabet and number.
- Select numbers to configure the security ID using only number.
- Select letters to configure the security ID using only alphabet.
- In Max. number of unique IDs, enter security ID limit.
- Click Save.
- Security IDs are created for the number of identities configured in Max. number of unique IDs.
- Once the security ID is configured and saved, the security ID cannot be modified.
Deactivating Security ID
- In vertical navigation, open Configuration > System settings.
- Under Settings, select Security ID and click Edit.
- To deactivate the security ID, clear the Enable security ID checkbox.
- Click Save.
- Security IDs are removed from the identities.
