The following steps are required to configure the connection to SALTO Nebula:
- Create the SALTO Nebula locks. See chapter SALTO Nebula.
- Configure the lock using the SALTO Nebula app. See section Configure the lock using the SALTO Nebula app below.
- Create the door and assign the lock to a door. See chapter Creating doors.
- Assign door to the privileges. See Security Manager User Guide, chapter Creating privileges.
- Assign privileges to an identity. See Security Manager User Guide, chapter Assigning and unassigning privileges.
Configure a lock using the SALTO Nebula app
- Prerequisite: You have the Service Engineer role and have received an email with the tenant ID. Information on how to assign the role can be found in Security Manager User Guide, chapter Assigning and unassigning roles.
- Download the SALTO Nebula app onto your smartphone.
- Open the SALTO Nebula app to login using the same email address you used to login to the Security Manager.
- You will receive a confirmation code via e-mail.
- Enter this code in the SALTO Nebula app to login.
- The SALTO Nebula app opens.
- Open the dropdown menu at the top and select the tenant. The tenant ID can be found in the email you received after you were assigned the Service Engineer role.
- At the bottom of the navigation bar select Devices.
- Hold the smartphone device next to the lock and tap on Configure.
- The app automatically detects the lock and configures it.
NOTICE
The app does not configure the lock
The following measures can help to carry out the configuration:
- Bring the smartphone closer to the lock
- Check the lock battery
- Contact the SALTO company
- When configured, tap on Finish.
Lock Event and Logs Limitation
The events and the logs from the configured lock will be transferred to the Cloud and Security Manager only in the following two cases:
- For the offline locks you need to use the SALTO Nebula app
- For online locks, only access granted and access denied events will be transferred to the Cloud and Security Manager
