When you export a new asset to Lifecycle Twin, the system checks whether this same asset already exists. If it does, two outcomes are possible:

  • If the merge option is not available, the Lifecycle Twin ID is replaced with the value from the model.
  • If the merge option is available, the assets are merged, and the new Lifecycle Twin ID is autogenerated.

In the autogenerated ID, the first letter indicates the asset type, and the following digits indicate the number. The examples are listed below.

  • T000001: First created type.
  • C000001: First created component.
  • R000001: First created room.
  • S000001: First created system.
  • Z000001: First created zone.
  • F000001: First created floor.
  • B000001: First created building.
