With the X-ray view, a selected object in the building premises displays in a highlighted mode while the entire building displays in the transparent mode enabling users to clearly identify and locate the object in the building. Users can navigate to the X-ray view implicitly or explicitly. The implicit behavior is applicable for types, systems, and zones while the explicit behavior is applicable to components, rooms and segments.

  • The Model viewer is open with an open site.
  1. Select Components .
  1. From the left navigation pane, select any object (type, component, room, system, or zone) you want to view in the model viewer.
  1. Depending on the selected object the model viewer displays the following:
  • If a type, system, or zone is selected then the entire building premises displays in the transparent mode and only the selected type, system, or zone is highlighted, thereby ensuring that it is easily identified and located.
  • If a component is selected, the model viewer refreshes to display the selected object. Users need to explicitly select X-ray view . This ensures that the entire building displays in the transparent mode and only the selected component is highlighted, thereby ensuring that it is easily identified and located.

You can increase or decrease the transparency by navigating to Opacity in x-ray in Viewer options that displays on selecting Show settings .
