Remote Data Service (RDS) is the service that allows Lifecycle Twin to establish a connection with the controllers or BMS systems (limited) to get the real time data point values.

  • The site is open.
  1. Go to Configuration > Remote Data Services > +.
  1. Provide information about the RDS. The available fields are:
  • Name: RDS name, which will be displayed in the system.
  • Description (optional): RDS description.
  • Host: Address where the RDS is hosted. The host address must end with /
  • Enabled: Select this checkbox if you want to archive the trend data from this service.
  • Authentication Type: Authentication type. The options are the Basic Authentication (authentication using the IIS credentials) and the Windows Authentication (authentication using the Windows user credentials).

Host and Authentication Type depends on the RDS service installation. This information is provided by the administrator who installed and configured the RDS service.

If you select the basic authentication, you also need to provide Username and Password.

  1. Select Create.
