Mapping of system properties of objects from IFC - User Guide

The system fields of objects in the IFC models can be used to populate the selected parameters in Lifecycle Twin so that this information can be used in Lifecycle Twin. This is achieved by using the field mapping functionality in the BIM connector in Lifecycle Twin. To know more about the IFC system properties that can be mapped, see IFC system properties.

1. Go to Configuration > BIM Connector > Fields mapping

2. Select Mappings.

3. In the Mappings table, select the component from the Assets column.

4. In the Configuration section, select the correct field that you want to map in Lifecycle Twin.

5. Select Add.

• The parameter fields open.

6. Select the Built in Parameter option. (1)

7. In the text field, enter the parameter name exactly as the system field parameter name in the IFC file. (2)

8. Select Use Default option from the list. (3)

9. Select Save.

• The system fields of the object in the IFC file are mapped to the selected parameters in Lifecycle Twin.
