In addition to adding data points and styles to a trend, you can also perform the following editing tasks:
- Edit the trend name.
- Remove or delete a data point from the trend chart.
To edit a Trend
- Prerequisite: There is a trend analysis in the Trend Analysis tab of Operations Manager.
- Select the trend.
- Select Edit.
- And then, complete the following editing procedures below as needed:
Add / remove a data point from an existing trend chart
- From the Edit trend dialog box, select Add data points.
- From the Select data points dialog box, and do the following:
- To add data points to the trend:
a. From the Available section, check the boxes next to the data points you want to add.
b. Click to move them to the Selected section.
- To remove data points from the trend:
a. From the Selected section, check the boxes next to the data point you want to remove from the trend.
b. Click to move the data point to the Available section.
- Select Confirm.
Delete a data point from a trend
If a data point is removed in Building Operator Discovery that is also in a trend analysis chart, then the trend analysis still displays the data point in the configuration, however, no data is plotted on the chart for the data point.
- From the Edit trend dialog box, go to Series.
- Select the data point to delete.
- Select Delete.
- Select Save.
Edit a trend name
- From the Edit trend dialog box, select Options.
- In the Title field, type the new name for the trend.
- Select Save.
Rename a data point
You can use up to 100 characters while renaming the data points.
- From the Edit trend dialog box, go to the Series tab.
- Select the options menu in the row of the data point you want to rename, and then select Rename.
- A blue border displays around the data point field.
- Enter new data point name in the data point field.
- Select Save.
- Before saving, if changes are not required, select and then select Discard changes.
- The name of the data point as it appears on the trend is changed.
