1. Name: List of selected data points.
  2. Tag results: Indicates which tags are displayed.
  3. Library tags: Add, remove, publish or enter the value of library tag.
  4. Custom tags: Create, remove publish or enter the name or value of the custom tag.
  5. Search: Search for tags from haystack library.
  6. Remove: Remove tag.
  7. Publish: Publish tag with Draft status.
  8. + Add tags: Add tags from the library.
  9. Create tags: Create custom tags.
  10. Tag value: Enter the value for the tag.
  11. Tag name: Insert custom tag name.
  12. Status: Set tag status.
  13. Cancel: Cancel changes.
  14. Save: Save changes.

Running automatic enrichment

Automatic data point enrichment runs an automatic enrichment algorithm that adds predefined tags to the data points of a device.

Automatic enrichment of the data points may take a few minutes.

  • You have a device with existing data points.
  1. Go to Hierarchy.
  1. Select Create > Automatic enrichment.
  • You are in Details of automatic enrichments view.
  1. Select devices for enrichment.
  1. Select Enrich.
  • Data points of selected devices are enriched with predefined tags.

Tagging a single data point or multiple data points

  1. Go to Tree view > Structure.
  1. Select a device or equipment.
  1. Do one of the following steps:
  • For devices, go to Data points connected to this device.
  • For equipment, go to Data points.
  1. Select one or multiple data points.
  1. Select Tag data points.
  1. Use one of the following options to tag data points:
  • Adding tags from the haystack library
  • Adding tags with the search bar
  • Creating custom tags

Adding tags from the haystack library

  • You are in Edit data point dialog.
  1. Select Add tags.
  1. Select one or more suitable tags for a data point from the library of haystack tags: https://project-haystack.org/
  1. Select Add.
  • Filter the tags by name or tag description by using the Filter by search field.
  • The tags are added to the list.
  1. If applicable, enter the Tag value.
  1. Select Save to confirm.
  • The tags are added.

Adding tags with the search bar

  • You are in Edit data point dialog.
  1. In the search bar, enter a tag name. The library of haystack tags is searched. https://project-haystack.org/
  1. Select one of the suggestions from the list.
  • The tag is added to the list.
  1. If applicable, enter the Tag value.
  1. Select Save to confirm.
  • The tags are added.

Creating custom tags

  • You are in Edit data point dialog.
  1. Select Create tags.
  1. Enter the custom Tag name and Tag value information.
  1. Select Save to confirm.
  • The tags are added.
