This chapter describes the general workflow how to create a new location. Different fields are visible in the Details card depending on the location type.

To learn about which location type can be created where, see Structure.

  • You are on the Hierarchy tab.
  1. In the tree structure, select a location, for example a building.
  1. Select More or Create.
  1. Choose the location type, for example Floor.
  • The New floor card displays. Depending on the selected location type, different fields are available.
  1. Complete the fields.

If you want to create multiple locations at once, either use the Copy function or use the bulk creation in the Table. See Creating multiple entities.

  1. Select Save.
