Planning a voice alarm system

Voice alarm system as per EN 54-16

When triggered manually and/or automatically, a voice alarm system as per EN 54-16 that is used in fire detection installations issues an acoustic fire alarm signal within a building.

A fire detection installation of this kind with a voice alarm requires voice alarm control and indicating equipment (VACIE) to control the alarm signal(s) and announcement(s) in the case of a fire.

Automatic transmission

If a fire is detected by a fire detection installation with a fire control panel (FCP) as per EN 54-2 with a voice alarm, an alarm signal must trigger an alarm/evacuation through the VACIE in the case of automatic transmission to the VACIE and/or remote triggering.
