The network 'PACE-Bus' (RS485) does not support PoE.

The PT2003-A1 and PT2009-A1 are powered with a 24 V DC/DC converter to isolate the external 24 V wiring. The 24 V DC/DC converter ensures that a fault on the 24 V external wiring has no impact on the internal 24 V power.

The Cerberus PACE Compact system offers four DC/DC converters:

  • 'MeanWell SD-50B-24 DC/DC Converter (50W)' PCA2011-A1
  • 'MeanWell SD-100B-24 DC/DC Converter (100W)' PCA2018-A1
  • 'RS485 module (1 port)' PN1002-A1
  • 'RS485 module (1 port, DIN rail)' PN2009-A1

Ground fault monitoring is required to detect the ground fault on the external 24 V wiring. The PN1002-A1 and PN2009-A1 have a built-in ground fault monitoring. The PCA2011-A1 and PCA2018-A1 use a 'Ground fault monitoring (24V)' PCA2001-A1.

The external power supply PP2004-A1, approved in accordance with EN 54-4, is the alternative power supply for call stations PT2003-A1 and PT2009-A1.

When PT2003-A1 or PT2009-A1 is used as a 'Non-alarm' call station, the power can be supplied via a standard plug-in power supply DC 24 V on site.
