The figure above displays a wiring example of one PT2008-A1 being connected to one digital audio matrix. This wiring can only be utilized for PT2008-A1 in standard use cases and is not permitted in evacuation use cases.

The digital audio matrix provides DC 10 V. An additional fuse (7) protects the internal 10 V power supply.

A short circuit outside of the cabinet has no impact on the signals in the cabinet.

The 10 V power supply, the 4 logic signals and the analog audio signal are connected to the call station interface of PT2008-A1.

The PT2008-A1 call station interface provides an RJ45 connector for all the signals, facilitating the wiring of the PT2008-A1.

Standard copper Ethernet cables (CAT5) with RJ45 connectors are used for the wiring (8), connecting the call station interface of PT2008-A1 to the call station PT2008-A1.
