This section describes how to access the GUI on a gateway which has been onboarded as described in CXG3.X200 Quick Install Guide and CXG3.X300 Quick Install Guide, respectively. Available access methods are:
- Local connection
- SSH (see Managing SSH keys)
- Remote access tunnel (see Tunnel)
To access through SSH and remote tunnel, these features need to be configured with key pairs or certificates for authentication. In the remainder of the document, the generic URL string https://Connect_IP_or_URL/ should be replaced by either the local IP address of the device if accessed locally, or the tunnel URL if accessed remotely.
Connect gateway is by default hardened as described in Connect Gateway Cybersecurity guidelines, https://siemens.com/bt/download → ID: A6V12604901. There is no direct access to the OS or file system in normal mode except SSH login using Siemens service credentials and SSH key - provided SSH has been enabled on the device.
