When a proxy server is used, it is configured in Network > Proxy. Only IPv4 proxy routes are supported.

The information needed is the proxy IP address (or URL) and port, and exceptions - destination IP addresses for which the proxy should be bypassed, for example local IP addresses.

The gateway supports basic access authentication. In viewing mode, the username and password cannot be changed, and the password appears as eight asterisks only. In editing mode, the password is still hidden, so when entering a new password, the whole string needs to be typed.

The Enabled button must be selected for the proxy settings to take effect.

In very restricted networks where a proxy must be used, it might also be necessary to adjust the DNS server in the IP section. Contact your local IP administration to find out if a DNS server address must be set manually.
