A factory reset restores the device to its initial configuration and deletes all configuration data and installed applications and containers. Only the software residing in the read-only partition remains on the device.
Factory reset of Connect X200
A factory reset can be performed via the GUI by an administrator user (see Maintenance) or directly on the device as follows:
- Power off the Connect X200.
- Press the SVC button while switching on the power and hold until the RUN LED turns steady green (this may take up to 30 seconds), and then release the button.
Factory reset of Connect X300
NOTICE
Before factory reset of an already onboarded X300 can be performed, it must be deleted in the Backoffice tool by Siemens Field Support.
A factory reset can be performed via the GUI by an administrator user (see Maintenance) or directly on the device as follows:
- Power off the Connect X300.
- Connect a USB mouse to any of the USB ports.
- Wait for the RUN/STOP (L1) LED to turn steady green and press the right mouse button within 10 seconds to trigger the factory reset.
