Reading and writing the same objects on KNX can be performed on the same group address or on dedicated group addresses independently. For example, reading a batch of switches/binary outputs is done with the 1/1/* group addresses, while writing to these channels is performed with the 1/0/* group addresses, or they both reading and writing can be performed on the same group address.

This form reads properties from the KNX device or writes them to the device (if they are writable). The properties that are going to be affected by this tool are the same ones mentioned in the KNXProperties.trio file from the .pod.

How to use Read / Write Property

  1. Expand the Connectors Tree and then expand KNX.
  1. Select a KNX connector.
  1. Click Tools .
  • The Tools dialog box displays.
  1. In the Tools dialog box, select KNX > Read/Write Property.

  • The Read/Write Property dialog box displays.
  1. Click KNX Device Filter to create a filter with the desired devices to which the form is applied.
  1. Click Filter.
  • The Edit Filter dialog box displays.
  1. Enter the required fields in the dialog box.
  1. Once you have filled out the dialog box, click OK.
  • The Filter Editor dialog box displays.
  1. Click Confirm.
  • The Folio App displays, where the jobStatusAll() query was run and displays the results.
