This feature is only available to superusers (su).

The Add Conn Cert tool adds an HTTPS certificate to your Java keystore. Adding this certificate enables HTTPS connectors to be trusted for communication and fix problems with learning connectors.

This is an example error that displays when you try to connect and it fails:
sys::IOErr: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path validation failed: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: signature check failed

How to use Add Conn Cert

  1. Expand the Connectors Tree and expand Haystack.
  1. Select an equip.
  1. Click Tools .
  • The Tools dialog box displays.
  1. In the Tools dialog box, select Add Conn Cert.
  • The Certificate Management dialog box displays.
  1. Select the connector HTTPS certificate and then click Apply.
    Only connectors with URIs that start with https display.
  1. If the error dialog box displays that the process failed, do one of the following:
  • Make sure you can successfully connect to the device's HTTPS port (port 443).
  • Make sure the HTTPS configuration is valid.
