In some cases, commissioning may happen on a site where there is no available internet connection yet. In this case, you can register a device with Edge2Cloud using a QR code.
Use the following procedure to register a device with a QR code.
- In Desigo Optic, open the Cloud app > Registration QR Code.
- A QR code will display.
- Use a smart phone camera to capture the QR code.
- An iOS or Android smart phone will convert the QR code into a URL.
- Load the URL into a web browser on your smart phone and complete device registration.
NOTE: QR codes are valid for three days.
