- Go to Connect Software.
- Copy token to the clipboard.
Depending on the speed of your connection, installation of Connect Software might take a few minutes.
Tokens generated from Devices app are valid for 15 minutes.
Single network mode configuration
- Pre-installation steps were executed successfully.
- SiemensConnectSoftware.msi is executed and Siemens Connect Software Setup Wizard is running.
- Building automation network and the internet use the same physical network connection.
- Token is copied to the clipboard.
- Select Next.
- Read and accept the terms in the license agreement and select Next.
- In the Paste Installation Token here field, paste the token that you have generated from Devices app.
- Select Next.
- Select amount of RAM (GB) and Number of virtual processors.
- Under Connection type select Single Network mode. Specify the type of WAN connection used for both internet and building automation.
- Select Hard disk size (GB).
Hard disk size is dynamically allocated and is dependent on consumption. For basic configuration we recommend at least 2 GBs hard disk size.
- Select Next > Install.
- Connect Software is installed successfully.
Separate network mode configuration
- Pre-installation steps were executed successfully.
- Physical network interface 1 on your Windows machine is connected to the Building automation network.
- Physical network interface 2 on your Windows Machine is connected to the internet.
- Static IP addresses for the Physical network interfaces (where needed) are set before proceeding with the installation.
- The physical interface that is connected to the Building automation network was selected as LAN during the setup of Connect Software.
- The physical interface that is connected to the internet was selected as WAN during the setup of Connect Software.
- SiemensConnectSoftware.msi is executed and Siemens Connect Software Setup Wizard is running.
- Token is copied to the clipboard.
- Select Next.
- Read and accept the terms in the license agreement and select Next.
- In the Paste Installation Token here field, paste the token that you have generated from Devices app.
- Select Next.
- Select amount of RAM (GB) and Number of virtual processors.
- Select Separate Network Mode under Connection type.
- Select Hard disk size (GB).
Hard disk size is dynamically allocated and is dependent on consumption. For basic configuration we recommend at least 2 GBs hard disk size.
- Select Next > Install.
- Connect Software is installed successfully.
