Installing Connect Software
The instructions below outline how to install Connect Software. Use one of two options to run the .msi as an Administrator.
Option 1:
- File add_connectsoft_msi_as_admin.reg is saved on local drive.
- File SiemensConnectSoftware.msi is saved on local drive.
- Select add_connectsoft_msi_as_admin.reg and open context menu.
- Select Merge.
- Accept the security warning to execute.
- Accept the user account control message.
- Accept the Registry Editor security warning.
- Select Yes to confirm.
- The keys and values contained in the registry script have been successfully added to the registry.
- Go to the SiemensConnectSoftware.msi file location, open context menu and select Run as administrator.
- The Siemens Connect Software Setup wizard opens. For more information see MSI installation via token.
Option 2:
- File add_connectsoft_msi_as_admin.reg is saved on local drive.
- File SiemensConnectSoftware.msi is saved on local drive.
- Open Windows Command Prompt using Run as administrator option.
- Use the Command line to enter SiemensConnectSoftware.msi location.
- Run following command:
msiexec /i SiemensConnectSoftware.msi
