1. In the Alarm Dashboard application, from the Views pane, select Root cause .
  • The Root cause view displays.
  1. Select Add.
  • The Add new root cause and recommended actions dialog box opens.
  1. Enter a meaningful description in the Root cause description field.
    The name is used in Rule Editor as the root cause for property Root cause.

    INFO: Correctly define the priority and acknowledge type for each AlarmOutput node in Rule Editor.
  1. Enter a root cause in the Root cause label field.
  1. Enter the first instruction in the Recommended actions field.
  1. Select .
  1. Enter an additional instruction in the Recommended actions field.
  1. Select .
    INFO: The cause can only be saved when completed with + (empty entry).
  1. Select Save.
  • Root cause version 1 is saved and can be used in Rule Editor.
