• Thread Network
The gateway creates a Thread network by default. To start adding Thread devices, no further actions needed.
    • Disable to deactivate Thread network and change Thread network settings.
  • Thread NetworkCreating New Network
    Two options are available:
    • Apply to create network with default values.
    • Regenerate Params to generate a new network with new parameters (PAN ID, Extended PAN ID and Network Key) automatically and then Apply.
  • Device Management ⇒ Commissioning: Add Thread devices to allow-list
    Three options are available:
    • Scan DM Code
      1) Connect a smartphone to the gateway via WLAN or use a PC with high resolution camera via WLAN or Ethernet.
      2) Select Scan DM code to scan DM code on the rear of sensor or front of extender.
      3) In Add Device, enter device name and select Apply to add a device to the allow-list. All device states are Disconnected.
Note: Do not add the same device multiple times (max. device number is 100). The .CSV file for the allow-list import fails if a device is added twice.
    • Manual - Add devices (sensor and extender) to Thread network by entering parameters: Name, Device Type, Serial Number, EUI 64, and Credential (Sensor: PXXXXXXXX; Extender: P:XXXXXX). Related info can be found on the rear of device. Users can define Name as desired.
    • Import Device List - For batch import of many devices create a .csv file with Thread network device credentials: Name, Device Type, Serial Number, EUI 64, and Credential (Sensor: PXXXXXXXX; Extender: P:XXXXXX).Select to import the completed .csv file and click Apply.
Note: Do not manually edit attributes in the .CSV file.
  • Commissioning:
    1) Set timeout to appropriate value and click Start Join. The device states change to Wait for Join.
    2) Power on extenders one by one. Extenders automatically join the Thread network (LED A & C green is on).
    3) Insert the batteries in the sensors to power them on. The sensors automatically join the Thread network (each device takes max. 2 minutes). Then the sensor LED turns green for 8 s when connected.
    4) Check if all devices are connected: The state changes from DisconnectedWait for JoinConnected.

Note: The user can select Batch Edit to remove multiple devices.

  • Configuration
    Select Save & Apply.
The sensor enters programming mode at the next wake-up cycle and the LED is red for 4 minutes. Some of the following tags display near the device name, depending on data transmission:
    • Outdated: Synchronization timeout.
    • Updating: Information is syncing.
    • Updated: Information synchronization is finished.
    • ProgMode: Sensor is in programming mode.
  • Configuration: Configure settings for connected devices
  • Firmware: Manage the firmware version of end devices in Thread network.
Users can change firmware version via Upload or delete via Remove.
  • Upgrade: Display end device firmware upgrade progress. The state changes from PendingUpgradingSuccess/Failed.
Note: Do not power off or download configuration parameters during upgrade.
  • BACnet Mapping
    Two options:
    • Select Map All to map all parameters to BACnet network and Save & Apply.
    • Map desired parameters from KNX IoT to BACnet IP via drag & drop and Save & Apply.
Select a parameter on left side and drag it to the related position on the right side.
  • BACnet Settings: Check BACnet setting and Save & Apply

Advanced users can activate slider near basic to enter advanced settings.
  • Topologies: Check the Thread topology (connected devices)
