There are two basic license server configurations:
- License server (Local), and
- License server (Remote).
License server 'Remote' configuration is intend for use of Trusted Store licenses available in Local configuration.
The certificate-based licenses can have two different characteristics in regards of license type; either server based or local. Server based certificates can also be used via remote configuration.
Local certificates are not available via remote configuration.

In the LMU application License server configuration is setup in the Settings view>> License Mode.
