If a new version is available, you can upgrade the existing version of Sync Agent.
Before upgrading the Sync Agent software, you must uninstall the existing Sync Agent software. For the new Sync Agent version, you must use the same service user. If you need a different service user, you need to perform a new installation.
- You have uninstalled the existing Sync Agent. See Uninstalling Sync Agent.
- Install the new Sync Agent software.
- Following the instructions in the setup wizard.
- Select the option Upgrade.
- Click Next.
- To create the connection to the SIPORT system, enter the URL of the SIPORT REST API, e.g.
https://127.0.0.1:8043.
- Enter the SIPORT operator user name and password.
Make sure that the user rights and roles are defended in SIPORT Configuration. See SIPORT Configuration User Guide, chapter User Roles and User Rights.
- Click Next.
- After the successful verification of operator credentials, the installer gets the workgroup and credential profile information from SIPORT.
- Click Next.
- Sync Agent has been upgraded.
