You can upgrade the existing version of Automatic File Importer if a new version is available.
Before you start the upgrade, you must always uninstall the existing Automatic File Importer. However, do not remove Automatic File Importer from Devices.
- Ensure that the existing version of Automatic File Importer is uninstalled. For more information, see: Uninstalling Automatic File Importer.
- Download the Automatic File Importer bundle from the SIOS portal (Siemens Industry Online Support) and extract the package into your computer.
- Double-click the Automatic File Importer.exe file.
- Follow the instructions in the setup wizard.
- Select the option Upgrade.
- Click Next.
- Provide the details like CSV file path and Windows service username and password in the respective screens.
- Click Install to proceed.
- Click Finish to complete the upgrade.
- Automatic File Importer upgrade is complete.
