Automatic File Importer is used to locate the CSV files from the specified path, fetch the data from the CSV files and synchronize the data to Security Manager with the help of Siemens Building Connect Agent (SBC Agent).

• The CSV files are in .csv format and stored locally in the specified path. The file contains the details of identities. For example, First name, last name and so on.
• SBC Agent is required to create a connection between Automatic File Importer and Building X. SBC Agent installs automatically while installing the Automatic File Importer.

This document explains how to install and upgrade Automatic File Importer, configure SBC Agent, and synchronize identities with country code configuration.

Identities synchronized through Automatic File Importer are read-only in Security Manager. Any modifications and deletions to these identities can occur only through Automatic File Importer. These identities remain read-only even when the connection is deleted. However, you can assign privileges, credentials, roles, and groups to these identities in Security Manager, while all other fields synced from Automatic File Importer remain read-only.
