Model Viewer is a tool for visualizing buildings in the 3D mode and allows navigating through the virtual buildings, adding or removing objects, and so on.

Model Viewer also allows visualizing buildings or sites in different views, focusing on certain components and viewing their properties. It also allows uploading required documents along with planning and performing maintenance work orders.

  1. Views: Displays the list of views configured in the system. Views have different models associated with them.
  2. Viewpoints: List of viewpoints for quick access to specific parts of a model.
  3. Search: Displays the Components, Rooms and Segments dialog box to search for components or rooms and segments. See Searching via identification of assets
  4. : Opens the bar code scanner on your iPad for scanning the bar code of a component or element. Ensure that bar code values of components or elements are configured before scanning. After the bar code is scanned, the details of the scanned element display.
  5. Work orders: Creates work orders specific to any component, facility, space, or location.
  6. Reset: Resets the view to its prior state.
  7. Settings: Defines the rotation speed of the view and the transparency level.
    • : Freezes the camera view on the vertical axis, so that navigation can be done only along the horizontal axis.
    • : Tap to display a mini map that enables navigating and updating directions. Tap a second time to hide the map.
  8. Model: List of models associated with the selected view.
  9. Home: Navigates back to the home page.
  10. :Provides the following options:
    • Add audit: Creates a new audit for an element or component of the model.
    • Hide: Hides an element or component of the model.
    • Isolate: Isolates an element in a model for exclusively focusing on it. Ensure that you adjust the transparency for an exclusive view of the isolated element in the model.
    • Show All: Displays all the hidden elements such that the complete model is visible.
  11. Floor Plan View: Displays the floor plan of the selected floor. Tap Floor Plan View and select a floor from the list.
  12. 2D View: Turns the 2D view to ON or OFF.
  13. Overlay: Turns the overlay to ON or OFF.
  14. Expand: Expands all parameters.

Viewing element properties

To view the properties of any element in the model viewer, tap on the element and hold for some seconds. The properties of the selected element will appear in the properties pane. The properties visible on an iPhone are limited as compared to an iPad.
