Synchronizing data enables you to synchronize data on the server with your iPad or iPhone and vice versa. Data synchronization fetches the latest data from the server to your device enabling you to work offline with the latest information.

  1. Tap Sync on the main menu. (1)
  • The Synchronize window displays with the number of data items to be synchronized. By default, Work orders, Audits, Components, and Systems are selected.

  1. Select any additional items to be synchronized. (2).

  • The synchronization starts and the number of data items available offline and the number of data items that are yet to be synchronized from the server display. When synchronizing data for the first time, the entire data set from the server is synchronized to your device. On subsequent synchronization, only the modified entries are synchronized.
  • After the synchronization is complete, you can work with the data on your device in the offline mode.

After synchronizing the data, if you observe a discrepancy between the number of records on your device and the server, you need to clear the cache on your device and synchronize the data once again. To clear the device cache, navigate to the device settings and enable the Clear Cache option for Lifecycle Twin.

  1. Transfer the updated data from your device to the server by switching back to the online mode. Tap the antenna (4) on the main menu to switch back to the online mode. For this you must be in an area with network connectivity.
  1. Tap (5) on the main menu.
  • The data items added or updated in the offline mode display.
  1. To upload individual data items to the server, tap next to the data item. To upload all the data items at once, tap Send all.
  1. Tap Sync on the main menu to synchronize the data saved on your device with the server. (1)
