In Lifecycle Twin, Assets consists of Types, Components, Room/segment, Systems, Zones, Floors and Buildings. Assets, their attributes, and relations are created and modified using options in Lifecycle Twin or imported directly from model files or using third party integrations. In the Assets menu, users can select an asset, add, edit, remove assets using the options provided and import or export asset data using Cobie Excel file.
This functionality is only available on iPad devices.
- Type: Assets are imported into Lifecycle Twin as a type with its corresponding components. Each type has a name, description, category, and associated components.
- Component: Components are entities associated with a particular building. They are created using the options in Lifecycle Twin or imported using model files or third-party integrations.
- Room/segment: In Lifecycle Twin, a room or segment can have floors or zones such as rooms and corridors.
- System: The Systems page displays all the systems in a building. Each system has the associated components. Systems and the associated subsystems can be viewed in the Model viewer.
- Zone: A zone is defined as a Mechanical Zone, Programmatic Zone, Division of Work Zone, or any way you would like to divide or group rooms together. The Zones page displays all the zones defined for a building within a project. In this page, you can view information including the number of rooms and segments within a zone, total net area, gross area and color.
- Floor: Floors represent the floors or levels in a building. This section covers all actions that you can perform with floors.
- Building: A facility is composed of rooms, zones, systems, floors, levels, asset types and components that reside within it. These entities together make up the BIM of a facility. The Building page displays all buildings within a site.
