Upgrade firmware via Ethernet
If the controller is on the same network as the computer on which Logic Manager Programming Tool (V3.0.x or higher) is installed, the latest firmware version is also downloaded and automatically installed when you download configuration and program files to the real device. See Downloading configuration and program files for details.
When you download the configuration programming file from a tool version that is V3.0.x or above, if the current device firmware version is 03.00.xx or above, the latest firmware version will also be downloaded and automatically installed on the real device. If the current device firmware version is lower than 03.00.xx, the tool will prompt for an upgrade via the USB port. Once the device has been upgraded to 03.00.xx or above, there is no need to upgrade the firmware via the USB port, the latest firmware version will be downloaded and automatically installed on the real device along with the configuration programming file.
