The primary side bar displays projects, device templates, libraries, device connection, and shortcut keys in a tree structure. Right-click on any title area in the bar to show or hide an area or the entire bar, or move the bar left or right.
Left-click on any title area to show or hide subtrees within the area. Hover the mouse or click on any subtree to activate the located area. After being activated, the area also displays operation icons next to the title for user operation.
Icon overview
Move to any area of the primary side bar to bring up the operation icons for that area. The icons, along with their corresponding functions, are listed below:

| Imports projects, devices, device templates, standard libraries, and customized libraries. |
| Removes projects, devices, device templates, standard libraries, and customized libraries. |
| Compiles the current device. |
| Exports projects, devices, device templates, and customized libraries. |
| Renames projects, nodes, devices, and device templates. |
| Refreshes project, device template, library, and device connection status. |
| Collapses all subtrees under "Projects" and "Device Connect". |
| Disconnects the tool from a device. Only appears in the "Device Connect" area. |
