Install Logic Manager Programming Tool
The Logic Manager Programming Tool runs as a plug-in within Microsoft VS Code. Prior to installing the Logic Manager Programming Tool, download and install Microsoft VS Code from the Microsoft website. Attempt to install the latest version first. If compatibility issues arise, install an older version such as a version within 1.68...1.85.
- Open Microsoft VS Code and display the Activity Bar.
- If Logic Manager Programming Tool was not previously installed, ensure the network is workable, click , and then enter "desigo-elc-studio-user" to initiate a precise search. Plug-in with the name "Desigo Essentials ELC Studio" and publisher "BSCEAUT" appears as the search result. Note: In case of fuzzy search, locate the plug-in with name and publisher the same as above if there are many search results.
- Click "Install". After the installation is complete, restart Microsoft VS Code as prompted.
- If Logic Manager Programming Tool was previously installed, click . In the area of "Shortcut Keys" in the primary side bar, scroll the mouse, then locate and click "Check Update".
- If a newer version of the installation file is available locally, select "Install with VSIX" in the pop-up dialog box. Then, locate the installation file and click "Install". After successful installation, Microsoft VS Code loads the new version of Logic Manager Programming Tool automatically.
- If you want to check for and install the latest version online, ensure the network is workable, and then select "Install online" in the pop-up dialog box. A separate page pops up, displaying information such as the current version, the latest version, and so on. If available, install a new version and reload Microsoft VS Code as prompted. The new version of Logic Manager Programming Tool takes effect after the reload.
In Activity Bar, you can click , then unfold INSTALLED to check if Logic Manager Programming Tool is installed or not. You can export projects and libraries as backups before installing a new version.
